Bespoke Bedroom Furniture

Throughout the years, as well as our remarkable kitchens we have been asked to help compliment our customers home with bespoke bedroom furniture.

We also work with one of the UK’s premium bedroom manufacturers, Kindred. To mark our 85^th Anniversary we now have a selection of fine bedroom furniture from ourselves and in partnership with Kindred within our extensive showroom, to help you visualize the perfect kitchen and bedrooms.

Our designers will meet you at your home or our showroom to discover your desires for how the heart of your home should look and feel.

We Design and Quote

Your designer will produce a bespoke kitchen or bedroom solution tailored to you, including colour palettes and appliances to meet your needs.

We Manufacture

Your design will be manufactured in our Lurgan workshop using a mix of old and new techniques by our expert craftsmen to produce the ﬁnest quality furniture.

We Install

Our impeccable installation team will liaise with your building team to install your design at a time convenient to you.

Celebrating 89 Years

At the age of sixteen Alfred Briggs, went to work for a kitchen manufacture in England to learn how to produce and design handcrafted kitchens. On returning home for his sister’s wedding and as a gift he produced her a bespoke kitchen for her marital home.
The bespoke kitchen he designed was the talk of the town with others asking for him to create a kitchen for them.

Alfred established Alwood by Alfred Briggs in 1933 and rapidly became the largest kitchen maker in Northern Ireland. When war began, the business manufactured essential bedroom furniture in particular baby cots to support the cause.

We have continued to grow since then with Alfred’s son Wilson joining the business at the age of nineteen. Wilson has built a business with a passion for kitchen innovation, excelling in bespoke design and most importantly understanding our customers.

With Wilson at the helm, we are especially proud of the numerous kitchen design awards we have been awarded by numerous kitchen design and kitchen manufacturing bodies throughout the UK and Ireland.
