Alwood are thrilled to be able to help support the NSPCC with “Art at the Merchant”

Creativity within Alwood has always been tempered by the functionality of kitchens we create. The ambitions of the designers often exceed these boundaries but once every so often we allow ourselves to get involved in a project that truly demonstrates that creative passion.

Over the 4 years, the creativity and passion of Alwood’s designers has resulted in the more kitchen awards being won than any other UK or Irish kitchen company. Of a total of 15 awards being entered in the past 5 years, 14 have resulted in finalist status with 6 of them bringing home the award.

Alwood as Irelands first Kitchen Company, design and manufacture kitchens and fitted furniture and have been doing so since 1933. Having fitted kitchens across Europe and as far afield as South Africa, the distance to Belfast or Dublin is local

This year has taken Alwood some visible step further along the creative scale; in May 2012 “Tots Modern” was held at Alwood in Lurgan with 52 artists of 3 &4 years old. Harrison Nursery school’s energy and enthusiasm were driving force in the creation of the Alwood Gallery, currently in use for the “TWENTY 8” exhibition by the NAAC.
